Today, we meet Cristina Cerrillos, the Head of People at FOSSA.
Did you know FOSSA before starting here?
Truth is, I didn’t know FOSSA before starting here, and it’s my first experience in the sector but, after my call with Vicente (COO at FOSSA), I remember him telling me all about the project, getting into details, and from that moment on I knew this was exactly where I wanted to be.
What about the Space sector caught your attention?
Well, above all, the project. It’s very apparent how innovative it is and the will of the team, the passion with which they talk about the work, is really inspiring.
Is there a specific event you remember fondly?
To be honest, launches are always emotional moments, the team gets together to watch them at the office, and you can feel how proud we all are.
It’s where the value of Ownership really shines through. Not only there, when we do our All Hands meetings, and Julián (CEO at FOSSA) tells us our latest achievements, what we’ve done so far, you get to see how far the company has come, how far we’ve made it, and it’s really special.
What has been the biggest challenge in your time at FOSSA?
Honestly, we have had some challenges, there always will be. For example, scouting various profiles, a highly competitive market, I would also add being able to support the company’s growth, being able to scale from an HR perspective, supporting both the team and company through that.
What would you say to anybody looking to join FOSSA?
I would tell them that in FOSSA they will find an incredible team, first and foremost, also a challenging environment with a very dynamic day-to-day, and a lot of room for growth, contribution and leaving their mark.
